The people behind the panels
Evan Ashton Amaya
Co-ownerEvan brings a rare combination of engineering, piloting and hands-on craftsmanship to every panel. A mechanical engineering graduate of UNC Charlotte, he began his career as a design engineer and later served as an avionics engineer at Palmetto Avionics. He went on to become Avionics Project Manager and Sales at Central Flying Service in Little Rock, one of the region's largest maintenance and avionics facilities, where he guided owners through glass-panel, GPS and connectivity upgrades on everything from piston singles to business jets.
Evan is a commercial pilot, flight instructor and test pilot, so he understands avionics from the left seat as well as the workbench, and he has taught engineering technology at the college level.
Before aviation became his full-time focus, Evan founded and ran Reborn Company in Shelby, North Carolina, restoring British sports cars and Land Rovers. His own Rover V8-powered 1964 MGB was featured in the British V8 Newsletter. That same attention to wiring, fit and finish now defines the work at Pinnacle. Evan is a member of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum.
Daniel Castleberry
Co-ownerDaniel Castleberry is an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA, 2019) and a co-owner of Pinnacle Avionics and DC Aviation Maintenance. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology, with airframe and powerplant certificates, from Southern Arkansas University Tech in Camden, and has held his A&P certificate since 2011.
Daniel started on light aircraft and warbirds, performing 100-hour inspections on Cessna, Grumman and Stearman aircraft, repairing PT6-powered agricultural airplanes, and removing and installing engines on the Commemorative Air Force's B-24 and B-29 bombers. He went on to serve as a floor lead on heavy checks of CRJ 200 regional jets at AAR in Hot Springs, supervising and training about 25 mechanics.
From 2013 he worked at Central Flying Service in Little Rock, performing annual, 25-hour, 50-hour and 100-hour inspections, King Air 90 through 350 phase and gear inspections, and engine replacements on Cirrus, Cessna, Diamond, Piper and Beechcraft aircraft.
Long before he held a wrench or a yoke, Daniel was looking up at the sky and dreaming of what it would be like to fly free. Today he is a pilot who has owned three aircraft since 2014, a Piper Warrior, a Piper Arrow and now a Beechcraft F33A Bonanza, so he knows the owner's side of the ramp firsthand: what it means to hand over the keys, and what it costs when the work is not right. That experience shapes how he works. It is the reason he holds every job to the highest standard, and why he is so devoted to the community around him: the pilots and families who depend on this work, and the airport they call home. For Daniel, delivering the best is how he keeps that community safe, and how he gives back the freedom the sky gave him.
Daniel lives in Benton, Arkansas, with his wife, Rebekah, and their two daughters.
Bailey Stratton
Co-ownerBailey Stratton brings more than 20 years of aviation maintenance experience to Pinnacle Avionics. He began his career in agricultural aviation before joining Central Flying Service in Little Rock in 2005. He later worked with L3 Technologies, maintaining military Beechcraft C-12 aircraft and gaining extensive experience with turbine-powered aircraft.
An FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with Inspection Authorization, Bailey has completed factory training on Beechcraft King Air, Baron, and Bonanza aircraft, as well as Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines and hot section inspections. His background includes aircraft inspections, complex troubleshooting, and maintenance on both piston- and turbine-powered aircraft.
As co-owner of Pinnacle Avionics and DC Aviation Maintenance, Bailey helps support daily operations and the maintenance team, and contributes his technical expertise to avionics installations and aircraft modifications. His focus is on quality workmanship, practical solutions, and ensuring every job is completed to a high standard.
